Farmer & Luna PLLC marked the first quarter of its inaugural year by hiring its first associate, Jason D. Holleman, as of April 15.  He joins Farmer & Luna members Bill Farmer, J. W. Luna, Mike Pearigen and Paula Flowers.

“We are very pleased that Jason has joined our firm,” said J. W. Luna, a member of the firm.  “His experience in litigation and environmental law will benefit our clients and help us develop new business opportunities.”

Holleman practices law in the areas of civil litigation, environmental, regulatory and administrative law.  He previously served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Tennessee Attorney General and Reporter’s Office, Environmental Division.  His primary responsibilities involved enforcement litigation on behalf of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

A Nashville native, Holleman earned his B.A. from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1995 and his law degree from Tulane University in 1998.  While at Tulane, he earned a Certificate of Environmental Law and was on the senior board of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal.

Holleman currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Environmental Law Committee of the Nashville Bar Association and as a member of the Executive Committee for the Environmental Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.  He is also active in a number of civic and community organizations, including the Middle Tennessee Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the John B.
